Last night I came upon a reference to Buffy Sainte-Marie's 1964 song “Universal Soldier,” and I remembered that I had recorded it several years ago. So I went fossicking around in the deeper recesses of the computer's hard drive and unearthed it. I already had another clip that I just made lined up for today. But, what the heck, I'm posting the song, for the theme, most regrettably, is timeless. War never goes out of date and cannon fodder is too cheap to meter.
